Fancy a relaxed evening of sewing and getting creative? Join me for a Bunting Workshop at Barrowby Memorial Hall, where you'll learn how to make your own fabric bunting!
Whether you're making bunting for Christmas, a child's bedroom, a birthday party or simply because you love it, this is a lovely opportunity to learn a new skill and create something you can enjoy for years to come.
A workshop to share!
One £25 ticket covers up to TWO people working together on one set of bunting.
Fancy learning to sew alongside your child? Or perhaps you'd like to bring a friend and enjoy a creative evening together? This workshop is a great opportunity to spend some quality time together while learning a new skill.
Under-18s must be accompanied by an adult.
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided free of charge, so you can enjoy a cuppa while you sew!
What's included?
Your ticket includes:
A medium-sized 3D-printed bunting template to keep, so you can make more bunting at home.
Binding and plain backing fabric to make 10 flags.
Printed instructions to take away and refer to when making more bunting.
Tuition and guidance throughout the evening.
The bunting template measures 22cm tall, with a short edge of 18cm and long edges of 24cm. Templates will be printed in pink as standard, but if you'd prefer another colour, please let me know in your order notes.
Choosing your fabric
How much fabric will I need?
If you'd like to use the same fabric for all 10 flags, you'll need approximately ½ metre of fabric or at least 2 fat quarters.
If you'd prefer to mix and match fabrics, you can bring a selection of smaller pieces from your stash. Just make sure you have enough fabric to cut 10 flags.
Remember, you can also choose from my pre-cut bundles and fat quarters on the night and enjoy 10% off your fabric purchase!
I'll be bringing a selection of pre-cut fabric bundles and fat quarters. If there's a particular fabric collection you'd love to use, please let me know when booking so I can do my best to bring it along.
What do I need to bring?
Please bring:
Your own sewing machine, including its power cable and foot pedal.
A basic sewing kit, including fabric scissors and pins or clips.
Fabric for the front of your bunting, if you'd like to use your own.
A cutting mat and rotary cutter, if you have them.
I have a limited number of cutting mats and rotary cutters available to share, so please let me know when booking if you need to borrow either of these. I'll also have some rotary cutters available to purchase on the night.
Please ensure your sewing machine is in good working order before you arrive.
